Ford New Smallest 3-cylinder Petrol Engine

Photo: Ford's three cylinder one liter ecoboost engine Ford has introduced its smallest engine yet using their modern and hip EcoBoost forced-induction technology. They have been downsizing engines from V8 to turbocharged V6 and from V6 to turbo four-bangers. Continuing the trend this 1.0 L three-cylinder engine uses the EcoBoost to bring most economical and eco-friendly engine yet.

According to Ford: “No one has ever built a three-cylinder engine quite like this. It’s one of the most technically advanced and efficient engines we’ve ever designed. The new engine introduces many new technologies that could be part of the DNA of future Ford engines.”

No Black Smoke But Diesel Still Toxic

Diesel Engine Black Smoke India reduced sulphur contents in diesel drastically to 50 parts per million (ppm) when it introduced its new emission norms in 13 cities last year. The rest of the country, however, still uses 350 ppm diesel.
