New Maruti Swift Dzire to be sub-4 meter

Now AutocarIndia published a spy pic of the sub-4 meter Dzire based on the 2011 Swift platform. The reason of it being below 4 meters is because it can now enjoy low excise duty of just 10%, as opposed to 22% on bigger cars.

Being on the older platform, the current Dzire will be discontinued and this new Dzire will replace it at a much lower price point. ACI is expecting a cost benefit of at least Rs. 30,000 to 40,000...

Ford Focus C-Max For US Being Tested

Ford’s European development engineers are apparently back from their Holiday breaks, as our spy photographers have caught them out and testing the new C-Max people mover. Ford might be planning two versions of the C-Max this time round, five- and seven-seat configurations, which would explain the noticeably larger exterior dimensions of the mule spotted here. The spy photos you see here are of the new Mazda3 prototype being tested. Heavy camoflage hides much of the model, however the overall body profile is quite visible and appears to have a more aggressive stance.

The car, when it’s revealed in a few months, hopefully at 2008 Paris Auto Show will share design cues from its sporty big brother, the Mazda6. This saloon shows off a sportier outline, and under the camouflage, there appears to be projector headlamps, new aggressive tail-lights and dual exhaust pipes.

The Volt and post-Cobalt will ride on the new global Delta platform, shared with the next Opel/Vauxhall/Saturn Astra and Opel/Vauxhall Zafira MPV. The new Chevy compact's 1.4L turbo will come from Flint, Michigan, which is scheduled to produce 1.0L to 1.4L fours..

A super extra long version of the Arnage was recently spotted by KGP photographers with an extra 18 inches of wheelbase, and while Bentley already offers the LWB Arnage RL model, this particular car eclipses that and then some to firmly land in limousine territory.

Spy Shots/Video: 2010 Ford Mustang GT

It's all speculation as to what's powering this prototype, but it appears to be a GT model if wheel size and two grille-mounted fog lamps are any indication. Out back are dual exhaust pipes and what must be a rear spoiler all covered up, as well. The hood features a big bulge, but don't get too excited as we surmise it's not to make room for some monster engine but rather keep the contour of the new hood a secret. Studying the front end, we also get a clearer view of the Mustang's new headlights as well as the lower air intake.

The CTS family already includes the sedan and the 2010 CTS Coupe, and with this new Wagon der Sport, it'll be a threesome.



Open up the power-operated lift-gate, and you'll find 25 cubic feet of cargo space, and 58 cubic feet of cargo space when you put down the split-folding 2nd row seat.

Spy Shots: Ford Fusion's new face found

We've known for some time that the Ford Fusion was due for a mid-cycle refreshening soon, but new spy shots from KGP Photography reveal that more might be in store for Ford's successful mid-size family sedan.



This prototype features the current car's hood and "squircle" headlights, but sports a different grille style and front bumper. The Fusion's trademark three-bar grille looks like it will become more expressive in the next version, with the top bar bowed down slightly in the middle like a smile. We imagine the production version will have all three bars bowed to some degree, giving the Ford sedan a distinctly happy and swooped back face.

An XF-R prototype has been spotted undergoing testing....The cloaked from fascia appears to get a set of larger air intakes on either side of the bumper, along with hood vents that hint at the beast that lies beneath.

Other exterior changes include color-matched side sills (in favor of the chrome vents on the standard XF), a new 20-inch wheel design, quad tailpipes, a subtle rear spoiler and possibly a rear diffuser.

Lotus Eagle: the full story

The latest spyshots reveal a low-slung sports car and we can begin to make out more detail on the Eagle's bodywork. For instance, the side profile shot reveals front doors that are carefully crafted to ease access to the rear cabin. This is a 'four-seater', remember, with rear seats designed for children up to nine years old.

The Eagle is the new mid-sized Lotus. It'll fit between the entry-level Elise family of sports cars and the new, forthcoming Esprit.

New 2009 Lotus Eagle Prototype Spy Photos & Video

Today we bring you the spy video of the Lotus Eagle protoype being tested at the Nurburgring, Germany. New Eagle will officially make its public debut later this years at 2008 London Motor Show. Sketchy details that can be seen in this heavily camouflaged Eagle video are its low front end, round brake lights and tail lamps that look very similar to ones doing service on the Elise/Exige.
